Poundland is set to launch its reward scheme in Scotland for the first time after successfully rolling out the scheme across 41 stores in Northern Ireland last year.
The discounter’s Poundland Perks scheme was first trialled in four stores on the Isle of Wight and is expected to be available on 14 June across 62 stores in Scotland.
A wider UK rollout is set to happen at a later date this year, Retail Week reports.
The rewards app, which is available via Apple and Google Play stores, offers points and exclusive discounts in the form of digital vouchers on up to 25 promotional products.
Discounts can then be redeemed in store by scanning a barcode in the app at checkout while promotional products are chosen from different categories and changed regularly giving shoppers access to new items.

The title said the app also features spin-the-wheel competitions, with prizes including products sent by post or loyalty points in the app.
Last year the retailer relaunched its website following an overhaul of its digital operations and rebrand of its Poundshop.com business, Poundland Perks formers part of its wider focus in the digital space.
Poundland managing director Austin Cooke told Retail Week the brand is “moving into the digital space much more”.
He said the expansion of the rewards app is “going great guns”, with more news set to come in the following months.
